Looking Rather Unworldly, the pharaoh hound, believed by some to have originated in Egypt, is the National Hound of Malta and is claimed by the Maltese. This love of hunting is used to advantage in lure coursing, which seems like a blast, for the dogs. They are the only breed in the sighthound group never to place at the Westminster Kennel Club's dog show.

2nd Degree Murder Verdict Thrown Out in SF Dog Mauling Case. Though Superior Court Judge James Warren said Knoller and Noel are "the most despised couple in this city," he said the evidence did not support a murder conviction because Knoller had no way of knowing her dogs would kill someone when she left her apartment that day.

We've had plenty of posts about dogs. . .we've had some posts about mercury. . . .but this has not been posted as yet, as far as my searches of the site can deduct. No compelling reason to post this, other than it's in my occupational field and it's interesting.
