Wikipedia is famous for providing multimedia on any topic imaginable. Founder Jimmy Wales recently attempted a purge on pornography, but then partially reversed it due to community backlash. Wikipedia contributor Seedfeeder is a user who provides remarkably well-done Creative Commons illustrations to topics such as erotic lactation, bukkake, and pegging. Obviously NSFW, and some argue unsafe for Wikipedia as well.

When the Jessamine* County Public Library acquired a copy of Alan Moore and Kevin O'Neill's The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen: Black Dossier, two library workers conspired to keep it out of the patrons' hands, checking it out for an entire year. Erotica runs rampant: "Pornographic images, erotic paraphernalia, and raunchy sexual talk are reaching a near-saturation point in the daily lives of Americans, through television, movies, magazines, and the Internet, say a growing chorus of expert voices. And the target market is an increasingly younger audience." Frontline also has a special called American Porn running this coming week, exploring how the mainstream profits from the adult biz.
