Wisconsin cheese names in jeopardy The European Union is trying to impose restrictions (a la champagne) on what you can call certain cheeses that are produced in locations other than their 'native' region. Is this purely an economic ploy, or is there some merit behind it?

The EU seems quite comfortable with governments keeping data on their citizens, but they
restrict what data businesses can keep. Compare and constrast with typical USian feelings on those same subjects. Please write on both sides of the paper.

Euro-court outlaws criticism of EU, and thus demonstrates what inevitably will happen when most European governments have communists(or "former communists") on board. PS: beware that any reply to this tread could be seen upon as additional critisism against the Holy Union...
