“We were online, and I saw this link and it intrigued me: a person encased in a suit,” says Ben, a 25-year-old computer programmer from Irvine, California. “My girlfriend thought it was the weirdest thing she had ever seen.”
But Ben saw something else—something he didn’t even know his life was missing. “I couldn’t stop thinking about it. After a couple of weeks of bringing it up, I convinced my girlfriend to let me buy one. Finally it came in, I put it on… and I felt free.”

"Nisan didn’t mean to fall in love with Nemutan. Their first encounter -- at a comic-book convention that Nisan’s gaming friends dragged him to in Tokyo -- was serendipitous. Nisan was wandering aimlessly around the crowded exhibition hall when he suddenly found himself staring into Nemutan’s bright blue eyes... 'I’ve experienced so many amazing things because of her,' Nisan told me, rubbing Nemutan’s leg warmly. 'She has really changed my life.'
Nemutan doesn’t really have a leg. She’s a stuffed pillowcase — a 2-D depiction of a character, Nemu, from an X-rated version of a PC video game called Da Capo." The New York Times' Lisa Katayama on "2-D lovers" in Japan, the latest outgrowth of
otaku subculture.

Atomage Magazine, possibly the first fetish magazine, produced by clothing designer turned photographer
John Sutcliffe, who clearly had a special place reserved in his heart for head-to-toe rubberwear.

The nkondi are the most powerful of the nkisi. They were used to identify and hunt down unknown
wrongdoers such as thieves, and people who were believed to cause sickness or death by occult means.
They were also used to punish people who swore false oaths and villages which broke treaties. To inspire
the nkondi to action, it was both invoked and provoked. Invocations, in bloodthirsty language, encouraged
it to punish the guilty party. It would also be provoked by having gunpowder exploded in front of it, and
having nails hammered into it. These fantastic Congo nail fetish figures are just one small, wonderful part of the impressive collection of images you can view at the content-rich, gratifyingly obsessive
Rand African Art, a site stuffed with nice large photos,
lots of lovely, lovely
links, and all sorts of intriguing nooks and crannies inviting exploration.

The Unicorn Orgy ...as I sculpted unicorns, one by one, things went their own way--the ghost orgy turned into a playful group of varied mythical creatures, nothing like the dream. Still, it started with unicorns. Most things do. (NSFW)

"Oh shit!
It's Baby Man," says one cashier, a Hispanic kid who's heard the legend but has never been a witness to the spectacle. "It's like Sasquatch!" he says. "You don't believe it exists until you see it." And even then, you're likely to think Baby Man is the star of a hidden-camera TV show, a singing telegram, or maybe on his way to a costume party. But Windsor (AGE 54) is
for real. This is no spoof.

Lithium Picnic is one of the multitude of fetish/goth photography sites, but with a low key, only slightly snobbish attitude and many great photos.
Apnea,
Anyssa,
Domiana. (Main link is possibly NSFW, all the photos I linked to are SFW, but others on-site probably are not.)

"There is making of
silver sex".
Taking bodypainting/messy obsessions to the very
edge, Manon Production from Japan sells a
wide selection of fetish
videos (sample mpeg 1.69MB).
All feature illustrative pictures and detailed, eerie Engrish descriptions (
"we feel admirable and poor at her black smile";
"Midori's body is changing colourfull";
"a little golden powder enters into her eyes"). Results can also evoke a
sculpture, the
theater or
abstract art. Considering the evident misogyny of the whole effort, is it all the more unsettling because the images are sometimes
beautiful (
1,
2)? Is it an attempt to somehow bring
Sorayama's creatures to life? Could the models be
actually enjoying it?
NOT SAFE FOR WORK.

Clothing for the maturity challenged? Foreverakid.com is a Canadian site which offers "adult baby" clothing, for those "grown-ups" who still crave of feeling like toddlers or babies again (probably those former rebellious youngsters who finally realized adulthood sucks and want their childhood back). Everything from diapers to pajamas to sailor suits is all here. (Note: The site has a "18+" warning but there are only pics of adults in baby clothing - which still is weird enough to warrant a warning of some kind)

Pinocchio Fetish? Ok, now what's the attraction with women who look like they've told too many fibs? Well… that's hard to say. It's just sexy...

Giddyup Big Boy. Is this guy hot to trot or should he just be put out to pasture? Personally, I find HBO's Real Sex to be a real waste of time. That and the sight of this stud in his little leather gear is, well, it's just downright disturbing.

This article proves what I've always suspected: no matter how strange a fetish may be, some idiot is going to take it to its logical and extreme conclusion.

I wanna be your dog. So people are flocking to the opportunity to appear in an "and finally" spot on the news. Nowt so queer as folk, as they say up north.
But just because it gets people's attention, does that mean it's going to convey any useful information? Perhaps if dog-mistreaters were sentenced to being treated like a stray...
