Small Worlds is an exploration game created by David Shute for JayisGames' Casual Gameplay Design Competition 6 (the theme this time around was "exploration"). It's short and there are no enemies to kill or items to pick up but it has faux pixelly gorgeousness and decently atmospheric music. Protip: the controls really don't like you hitting jump and moving sideways at the same time. To jump horizontally, first hit the jump key then hit the key to move sideways after. Friday Flash Fun: Frontier is an adventure RPG with an economic bent, very similar to Caravaneer. You travel from town to town dealing in the goods available in each town. Spend some of the money you make upgrading your transportation and your companions. You can choose to join one of the two guilds opposing each other, the Buccaneers and the Enforcers. If you join a guild there are quests to complete which move you up the ranks. If you want a simpler, less time consuming game, try Mad Virus.

Upcoming Flash CS5 will allow you to publish iPhone Apps. Today at Adobe MAX, Adobe announced that the upcoming Flash CS5 will allow you to build and export Flash Content as an iPhone App. This is not the same as Flash coming to the iPhone, it just means that instead of writing apps in Objective-C, folks can use ActionScript 3. Designers everywhere are already buzzing:perhaps time to re-purpose all those old intro screens? Perhaps the real question is: Do consumers win or lose?

Oh woop de do it's Tetris on the internet. No seriously, Tetris Friends is awesome. The game features online multiplayer that is fast, reliable and matches you with players of your own skill level. Unfortunately it doesn't have the option to play against a friend, but it hopefully will gain that feature before it leaves beta. This game was developed by Tetris Online, the sole holder of the license to create online Tetris games. Part of being fully licensed means that the game fully complies with the strict guidelines for Tetris games set forth by The Tetris Company.
