The Sarasota Herald-Tribune newspaper published a special project recently: The Stolen Ones
investigates the local child sex trafficking industry, and documents stories from survivors and their families. (SFW, but some readers may find the content disturbing.) [more inside]

If you have had sex in Florida in the last week, technically, you broke the law.
Due to some unfortunate wording, Florida's new bestiality law technically outlawed sex between two animals.
"An act relating to sexual activities involving animals; creating s. 828.126, F.S.; providing definitions; prohibiting knowing sexual conduct or sexual contact with an animal; prohibiting specified related activities; providing penalties; providing that the act does not apply to certain husbandry, conformation judging, and veterinary practices; providing an effective date."

Is this your fetus? Are you the one I slept with?
Remember when we discussed this
before? Florida has now been forced by 4 plaintiffs and the ACLU
to repeal the so-called Scarlet Letter law that forces women who are pregnant and giving children up for adoption to take out an ad local papers once a week for 4 weeks, stating her name and her sexual history in the last year, to let men know if they *might* be the father. Here
is the ACLU legal brief. The details about the decision are in the first link.
Thank god for the ACLU.

Lisa Gier King
- 'clearly willing and consensual sexual intercourse'
'Yahraus has consistently maintained that his sexual relations with King were consensual, a view shared by the police, the state attorney's office and the court'
or institutional misogyny
Difficult to comment
without seeing the film. Will releasing this film help either case
Hard to find anything online from the alternative viewpoint
