What do you do with ten ketchup packets and McDonald's french fries? Make a painting of Morgan Spurlock of course! Or you can take artist Jack Daws' route and build a replica of the Twin Towers using the same ingredients and sell it for $1,500.

After a three year period of patriotic defiance that brought the culture and economy of France to its knees, french fries are back on the menu in congressional cafeterias.

Freedom Fries to French Fries: "Sorry dear. It was a momentary lapse of reason. It was a combination of God's hand and a constituent's request. I wish it had never happened.

ça va faire une maudite poutine! In order to prepare yourself for the upcoming holiday gastronomical binge-fest, you may want to warm up with a few feeds of this winter-friendly, carb-loaded, heart-clogging goodness.
That said, where the hell did disco fries come from? ("Oh Tony... I love to watch you dance, and eat poutine!")

Chocolate, Blue 'Funky Fries' pulled from shelves The notorious freedom french fries with the flavors of chocolate, cinnamon and blue-colored variety have been pulled by Heinz due to poor sales and overall revulsion by consumers around the nation (especially here at MeFi). Can you think of other such horrific failed foods that were disgusting from the start?

Cancer and Carbohydrates (per FT) may be closely linked according to recent international study - and not just any carbohydrates but those that are our favorites - deep fried potatoes, rice, and bread all may contain high levels of cancer causing acrylamides. What's your average carb eater to do?

McDonald's Fries NOT Vegetarian After All While I realize that a large percentage of veggies avoid McDonald's on principle, an equally large percentage of them go there for the fries.
A McDonald's spokesman said the restaurant chain had never claimed to offer vegetarian food and that it freely provides ingredient information to anyone who requests it.
I can assure you that no where on that ingredient sheet does it say there's animal products in the fries. They went to a good deal of trouble to switch to vegetable oil so they could say they were healthier.
If they've always contained the beef fat and they are not trying to hide that, then why the hell isn't it on the ingredient list?

Why McDonald's fries taste good - A very interesting article about Americans, food, and "flavoring." The statistic that made me gasp in shock was this: "About 90 percent of the money that Americans now spend on food goes to buy processed food." Is it any wonder the nation is so fat? Good grief.

Eat french fries at the subway station, go to jail. Martial Law will creep up on us like humid underwear, not like the sudden wedgie-style *BOOMPF* as previously believed.

"Here, Lizard, Lizard..." My take on this: there's not much difference, in nutrition terms, between mass-reared fastfood chicken, and crunchy wild lizard. (Ask the cast of Survivor or Bush Tucker Man.)
