. Too much politics today, not enough Christmas fun. Here's a drunk Santa game from b3ta. Pretty tough once you get going.

Hit the Fan!
Here's a great little game that's been floating around my "to post" box for a few days just waiting for Flash Friday here at MeFi. The object is to propel a mound of fecal matter with your ping-pong paddle so that it connects with the rotary air circulation device. Once you get some practice, try springing one off the stapler or landing it in the coffee cup. Even better yet, go for a "Mac attack" and ricochette one off the iMac screen into the blades. They did a fairly good job of creating a sound effects for the moment when the caca hits the old ventilador too - so how can you lose?

To Boggan Or Not To Boggan On A Tuesday:
that is the question. Jus don't let the disrespect shown to Johnny Cash or the deliberately annoying Schwarzenegger commentary put you off this great little game - or dare get past level 6 either! [Flash required and via Bifurcated Rivets, of course.

Some Friday Fun
"Banja is destined for everyone. Here, it is not a question of conquering, but of evolving within a whole way of life and of discovering its mysteries." Not a game for the bandwidth-challenged, unless you're REALLY patient.

Sunday's Investment Tip: Snark Inc.
This wasn't the sort of snark
I was looking for but it's too amusing to pass over. Worth singling out: the Globalization
game; the Snark
commercials (this last one good enough to go legit, imho
); the Corporate Culture
documentary and the Careers
questionnaire. All in all, healthy anti-capitalist fun for the whole family! [Click on "View"; Flash required.

Sorry to post a shockwave.com link, but Groove Blender 2
has eaten away almost my whole morning. Drag and drop blocks onto the canvas to create your own grooves- the downloadable version includes many more beats and the option to export your groove, or save it to Shockwaves servers. Anyone know of something else this simple that is simlar but allows you to import others grooves?

FutureFarmers have released another thought provoking Flash site that is designed to make you think. Thsi time you get to play at running the country after a terrorist attack (where did they get that idea). Manage the budget, fight for oil and don't piss off big business (or they will assassinate you).
FutureFarmers have a long history of making Flash content with a political message. Their They Rule
site recently won a Net Excellence award from ARS Electronica, and their Texas Draw
site has been featured here.

The Try Group's site
uses a simple Flash "game" to deliver their central idea: that children should be encouraged to look at the world in different ways. There's a little more info
at the developer's site.
Neat concept, and also just fun to poke around in for a little while.

This is a nifty little game that allows you to examine how you came about being the person you turned out to be. You begin the game at birth, progressing through numerous choices until death. Your success at the game depends on the choices you make. How close to reality does this game life come?
(It's not actually a little
game, but it does allow you to come back to where you left off if need be.)

This game wasted a good two hours at work yesterday. It's a flash game, but with 70's gaming appeal.
I played it so much I finally found the easter egg
, supposedly the site of its "creator." It's on level three, click the moon. A Christmas
game with an Easter egg
, I dunno.

The Jim Morrison Simulatron
can still make me laugh.*
"THIRTY YEARS AGO last week, Doors frontman Jim Morrison mixed drugs, alcohol and asthma to ascend to the big Whisky A Go-Go in the sky. Here in the virtual world, though, Modern Humorist has reanimated him in the form of lines and lines of programming code."

Another fun way to waste time on the web.
Electrotank.com went live today. Their minigolf game had been available in beta form for a week or two, but the last 9 were disabled. Now they're all there except for #18, and the dreaded hole 8 has been moved to 17. There are other games too, and a "vision" statement, the first item of which is that they will "Provide a place where people can go to play free high quality online games. " Sounds good to me! Flash plug-in required...
