Space Ace is the best Flash game I have played in a long time. It's a Lunar Lander-like collect-the-dots-before-they-do duelling game with some cute maps and some evil ones. I found it pretty hard at the beginning but it's intensely addictive once you get the hang of manouvering the ship. The vaguely retro vector graphics are pretty but simple and it runs smoothly even on an older machine like mine. There is no AI - instead you duel with random people from the internet. There's a ranking system, but no talk option, which just intensifies the pure gameplay vibe of the thing. Do not attempt to play this game if you have stuff to do. There are plenty of skiing games (many online), from dodging drunken skiers (flash, French) to the basic downhill skiing (java) but the grand-daddy of skiing games is SkiFree (previously), iteself based on the older Atari Skiing game. SkiiFree has been remade into a basic version built from SkiFree sprites and HTML Canvas, and the more complex flash version of the freestyle course, which includes the monster.

"For Dirk McLauren, Wedesnday January 19 2381 has begun very poorly." The Zybourne Clock was to be a hundred-hour long electro-punk-themed RPG made by members of the SA subforum BYOB. After only a few weeks, the project collapsed in drama and failure, leaving only hilarious snippets of text, original "artwork," and level designs. More effort and skill went into parodying The Zybourne Clock than into creating it.

Devil's Tuning Fork is "a first-person exploration/puzzle game in which the player must navigate an unknown world using visual sound waves" and was made by a group of students in 6 months to compete in the Independent Games Festival. Unfortunately, it appears to be windows only, but the trailer is worth checking out anyways. It is pretty.
