The Heather in the Glen

Is winter flowering heather the next viagra? A British newspaper is reporting on April 1 that a 55-year-old man serendipitously discovered that a winter flowering heather infusion suddenly required him to wait a full hour before he "could decently walk down the street." Also known as Erica carnea rosantha, it isn't typically planted from seed, but may require cuttings.

A sad loss

RIP Heather MacAllister. "Any time there is a fat person onstage as anything besides the butt of a joke, it’s political. Add physical movement, then dance, then sexuality and you have a revolutionary act.”  Founder of Big Burlesque and Venus Group, she died Feb 13 after a long fight with ovarian cancer. She was notably photographed by Leonard Nimoy. Multiple memorial services are planned for her birthday, Feb 25. [some links may be NSFW]

Mystery Image inserted into HBO shows?

Mystery Image inserted into HBO shows? Derek & Heather noticed this odd image - inserted for a single frame - into a couple of different shows on HBO. Kindall seems to think he's seen it before as well. It looks familiar to me, but only in an odd detached way. Any guesses or clues?
