First, there was the
Big Gay Ice Cream Truck. Now, everyone's favorite super-premium conglomerate-owned sticking-to-its-righteous-roots ice cream company
has transformed "Chubby Hubby" into Hubby Hubby (only in VT, only for September), in support of same sex marriage, which is legal in Vermont as of this month. No word yet whether Iowa-based Winnebago will follow suit with a specially-named RV.

"Years ago, when I worked for outlandishly hirsute rockers
The Cure, the band wouldn't tour without stocking up first. I'd be at my desk, and the call would come in. 'Fraser? We're in Rio, and we've run out of Pepto. Can you Fedex us a crate?' And so I would."
How to make Pepto-Bismol ice cream.

Homemade ice cream, in 30 seconds. All you need is cream, sugar, eggs, flavorings (strawberries, vanilla, kittens, whatever your preference) and access to liquid nitrogen. And there the plan goes south, at least for me. Where can the average joe score this crucial timesaving ingredient? Seriously. Also, I want to try the cool "shatter a flower" trick that they reference.

I-Hate-the-French Vanilla -- at last, Star-Spangled Ice Cream offers a conservative alternative to Ben & Jerry's. Other flavors are Smaller Governmint, Iraqi Road and Nutty Environmentalist. And 10% of the profits go to charities that support the U.S. Armed Forces! (

One Sweet Campaign To Fight Global Warming officially launched this month with a press conference a few days ago. Every day, human beings put 16 million tons of carbon dioxide into the atmostphere. The campaign is a joint effort between
DMB and
Ben & Jerry's which uses the new, previously discussed
ice cream flavor as its vehicle, and asks you to pledge to lose 2000 pounds of CO2 this year through reasonable modifications to your daily routine. Help make the world a healthier place. [warning: flash/music]

Another corporation shoving dioxin-contaminated food down the throats of unsuspecting consumers. In this case, more than 2200 times the amount allowed to be in a
refinery's waste water. Obviously,
Ben and Jerry's must be stopped.

Everyone screams for ice cream! I found out that
Edy's owns the icrecream.com domain. It's actually quite a nice site, and if anything, it has the certain level of childood simplicity one associates with ice cream. I especially like the
taster and was honestly disappointed that his tour schedule isn't posted.
Maybe not as dynamic as
Ben And Jerry's, but appropriately sweet.
