Apparently there are ten thousand Irish Travellers in the USA but little is known about them <a href="http://www.pitt.edu/~alkst3/USA.html">academically </a>, as a result, they have developed a rather negative stereotype, primarily as <a href="http://www.capital.net/~phuston/GYPREV.html">con artists </a>and <a href="http://www.travellersrest.org/Controversy991221.htm">scammers</a>.
