There have been all-women's baseball teams and leagues like <a href="http://www.aagpbl.org/">All American Girl's Professional Baseball League</a> (which you may have learned about <a href="http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0104694/">here</a>) in the USA and the Japan Women's Professional Baseball in Japan (sorry, no link). But Yoshida will be the first woman to play in what had been a men's league.
