Then you use your computer to create peel-and-stick stickers with that same barcode on it. Now you go back to the store, pick up expensive boxes of Legos, and put your own stickers over their barcodes. Voila! You can now buy them for low price, and resell for a profit. That is what
Thomas Langenbach is accused of having done, and it seems that he made over $30,000 reselling them on eBay.

Lego wrangler Lwelyk has put together a little blog featuring his video game Lego creations. Each piece is an exact recreation of the original 2D sprite artwork where one pixel equals one square Lego block. Aside from Mother Brain we also get Phanto, Mushroom Block, Flying Shy Guy, Tingle and tons of others. The Mother Brain is by far the most impressive but the Twinrova piece definitely gets an honorable mention.

The Brickfactory. Hundreds of instruction booklets for LEGO kits, organized by year, theme, number and name. If you're like me, just seeing the covers of some of these old kits will make you teary-eyed. (#268, the 1979 Family Room kit did it for me.)

"You must have shot an awful lot of Legos sir." The Italian Job trailer, done in Legos. It's amateurish and it's YouTube, but it's only 50 seconds and it's really charming if you're a fan of the movie. There's a serialized version of the whole movie (
part 1 and
part 2). Part 2 is much better because it has the heist and the aftermath. Lorna, Big William and Camp Freddie are miscast, but otherwise it's pretty good.

a silly place... either someone has waaaaay to much time on their hands or this is the coolest thing i've seen for ages.
For those of you who want more explanation think
Monty Python but in
Lego. it's a movie - so time taken to view this movie is depending on whether your connection to the interweb is
butane or
coal fired. I've searched the archives and not found this particuar link - but it is a few months old, so apologies to any who have seen it before.
