A Doctor World: A beautiful mashup of Doctor Who and A Softer World. (Note that some posts contain major spoilers for "A Good Man Goes to War.")

As your airline takes you from Point A to Point B, do you ever wonder about all the points in between? Enter
MondoWindow (in beta today), which mashes up satellite photos, air traffic data, wikipedia, and flickr to show where your plane is, and what's nearby on the earth below, provided your flight has wifi.

Metafilter is certainly no stranger to
music mashups, or even
live music mashups, but a few artists are taking things a step further with live music and video mashups. Not prerecorded mashups of live music and video, but live performances of DJs (often calling themselves "VJs") mashing up music and video together on the fly.

MappyHour is a Google Maps and happy-hour mashup. It includes mostly US cities, with decent Australian representation ... plus Paris, France and Windsor, Ontario.
Sorry, direct city links don't seem to work.

Santastic: Holiday boots for your stockings. Mash-ups of decades of Christmas records just in time for the holidays. The quality varies throughout, but it makes for some fun manic listening if you've grown tired of the same perennial chestnuts. Merry Christmash to all, and to all a boot night.

Q-Unit: Greatest Hits is an outstanding collection of mashups of 50 Cent and Queen. The mocked-up album covers alone are worth it, but I think I've listened to "Crazy Little P.I.M.P. Called Love" about three times already this morning.

50 tracks from Osysmo in 50 weeks. Cheeky DJ Osysmo has decided to release his first proper full length album in little free bits over a period of 50 weeks. Osysmo has gained earlier notoriety for his Intro-Inspection mix [
yank it off the main page], which ingeniously compiled the intros of tens of songs, as well as his fun mixes of Chris Morris' material.
