Showcase of finalist designs from the 2009 Michelin Challenge Design (not Design Challenge, for some reason). Among the expected uber-cool entries by big automakers, several interesting concepts from independent designers, including a stackable "metro cell" vehicle (Korea), solar-cell semi (Hungary), and a luxury-cruising buggy (USA).

U.S. GP starts and ends in farce
In what could very well be the last Formula One race in the USA, the United States Grand Prix turned to farce yesterday when the vast majority of the grid (14 cars), shod with Michelin tyres, aborted their race after the formation lap and pulled into their garages, leaving the six cars shod with Bridgestone tyres to start and finish the race.
