Want to sue some Terrorists? Put a Public Notice in your Classifieds! Seems like some folks have decided that while they are suing the terrorists, bin Laden, Mullah Omar, and the whole Taliban posse, they'll put public notices in their local classified sections asking bin Laden and crew to get in touch with their lawyers. What an idea.

Why the tobacco industry feared The Patriot Act. Rep. Michael Oxley removed a provision involving money laundering from the bill at the behest of the White House and GOP whip Tom DeLay, under pressure from Big Tobacco.

Bowling for Columbine "The concept is that violence is just another all-American sport," says the source. "In a bizarre way, it sort of lets the shooters off the hook, saying that they’re just part of a culture of violence."

The New Voice of MSNBC: Twisted Sister's Dee Snider He's the new voiceover guy at MSNBC.I knew I recognized that voice, I just couldn't place it. It sort of makes you wonder who other networks might get to do voiceovers.

Oops. Where did the surplus go? It' fascinating how MSNBC bends over backward to make it sound as if both parties shared blame equally rather then pointing straight at Bush's outrageous tax cut.

US drone lost over Iraq - It seems it's only a matter of time before they shoot down a piloted plane (even if by accident). What are we still trying to accomplish over there and what would the reaction be if they succeed?

Gun control the smart way. I abhor the idea of people taking away my right to own guns or impinge on said freedom. However, this approach is much better than a nation-wide movement. We Texans get to keep our guns and you Californians can get rid of yours.

MSNBC hacked. That faith-based missle defense thing again. Check it out, good-looking hack. I might put up a mirror if it gets changed.

Kill the wabbit! Kill the wabbit! I though the blood heads in that Saatchi art collection a few years back were the oddest artwork ever, but you know...I'm thinking this is it now.

More news on the IIS exploit After acknowledging the problem last week, Micro$oft is now saying that the backdoor in IIS... is a flaw. M$ Technet seems to have a fix for this problem, delete the offending file! So, if systems are your bag, my advice is to start researching security if you are running M$ internet server products (SQL 7, Exchange, IIS, Index Server, etc.).

Jeez. After 4 and a half years of sitting in a jail cell, Kevin Mitnick was finally sentenced today. The funny thing is, his sentence is shorter than the time he's already done. The story sounds like an injustice you'd read about at the amensty international site, but no folks, it happened in the Land of the 'Free'.
