Energyne/Barco/Draino hot shot/Whack attack/Helium/N2O/Formaldehyde

The Cramps ripped it up, madly channeling the sordid specters of rock 'n roll's past while staying true to its psychedelic future, even when voxman Lux Interior was a lean 59 years old. The first show from their last-ever tour does nothing but prove it. [more inside]

let's roll with Joel Hodgson's TV Wheel

"The TV Wheel was a television experiment created by and starring Joel Hodgson, of Mystery Science Theater 3000 fame. Cable network HBO ordered a pilot, but ultimately passed on picking up the show. The pilot episode eventually aired once on Comedy Central as a special presentation following the last new episode of MST3K to be broadcast on that network."*

The Stone Roses - Blood on the Turntables

"November the 23rd, 1989, and possibly the most influential British guitar band of the last twenty years were making their debut on Top of the Pops. The group were Manchester's the Stone Roses. Having just released one of the most acclaimed debut albums of all time, they had the world at their feet. But then it all went horribly wrong. Within a few short years, the Stone Roses had split."

Sensational Stone Roses BBC documentary Blood on the Turntables in one two three four five six parts.

Slumber party in a snaunted snous.

Kevin Blechdom is a girl. Along with Blevin Blectum, she was once 1/2 of the duo Blectum from Blechdom (R.I.P.). Kevin is now a solo artist (as is Blevin) living in Germany. Her website is chock full of fun and embarrassing things, such as dirty comics, her homemade patches for MAX/MSP (an amazing virtual synth program), the Blectionary (in case you need help deciphering her world), and four songs from the hit Broadway and theatrical musical 'Annie' as performed by a (hopefully) preteen Kevin. Complete table of contents here. (note: some links may be NSFW. Please be careful.)

You'll understand when you go on down to Tacoland...

Ram Ayala - owner of the famed Tacoland nightclub in beautiful downtown San Antonio, Texas - was shot and killed during a robbery at his bar last Thursday. The world-famous club has been a favorite dive for bands and locals alike since 1969, forever immortalized in the Dead Milkmen song "Tacoland". R.I.P.
