Why Yankee Stadium sucks: "Its design is profoundly un-American. Baseball has traditionally played a unifying role. A new stadium, paid for with public money, that is far too expensive (even after prices were slashed) for most members of the public to visit, especially during a recession. Bomber Bucks. $5 bottles of water and $48 for a lousy steak. Have the New York Yankees finally pushed their fans too far?

World (er... MLB) Champions once more. The last time the Boston Red Sox lost was in the 86 World Series. The last time they won was 86 Years Ago, when they beat the Chicago Cubs in the 1918 World Series. (The Cubs finished that season with 86 wins.) This year, after retiring the Anaheim Angels 8-6, they lost three straight to the New York Yankees in the ALCS and seemed to be on the verge of failing once again. Eight straight wins later, they finally manage to eighty-six the Curse of the Bambino.

Diamondbacks win! Diamondbacks win! More importantly, the Yankees lose! Yankees lose! There's something supremely fitting that to win, the Diamondbacks had to come from behind against Mariano Rivera in the bottom of the 9th in Game 7... this is one of the greatest, most intense World Series I've ever seen!
