Obama's ninja-like fly swat has been objected to, rejected, genuflected, relatively neglected and hopefully disinfected.

Haven't you always secretly wondered what would happen if a ninja accidentally stumbled into, say, Bill and Ted's time traveling Phone Booth and ended up somewhere around 7th century BC, only to come face-to-face with a feisty Spartan? Have you not pondered what would happen if you locked up an Apache with a Gladiator inside some sort of 21st century battle dome? Are you frustrated because you feel like there's nobody doing proper scientific studies to see what would happen when you pit two historically violent warriors that could have never actually met in real life? Worry no more people - I present to you Spike TV's newest offering - Deadliest Warrior! [more inside]

Shaolin [Wiki] is having a difficult time lately. A combination of the silver screen and the small screen cemented the ancient school in most peoples' minds as a surefire way to kick ass most stylishly. Its introduction in the US has since been fraught with problems and complications, most notably in 1992 when a tour of Shaolin Fighting Monks returned to China minus one Shi Yan-Ming - who has since started the USA Shaolin Temple. Then the Chinese government tried starting their own Shaolin-approved schools. But various attempts haven't gone right either. What is the state of Shaolin now? Everyone's trying to make a buck in this game. You can buy anything from Shaolin Secrets in scroll form to the opportunity to "live the life of a warrior monk". Shaolin cachet is at a premium. Its name fame is such it's even ruining things back home. Immigration scams, ballet classes, Lollapalooza, the RZA? Can it get any worse? Now people are even saying one lone ninja can defeat a whole temples' worth of monks!

Your clan was annihilated, now you're out for revenge. You are Ninjaman. Pretty awesome little 2D side-scrolling Flash game; the trailer (.mov) gives you an idea of the gameplay. Oh, and you can customize the keyboard controls in "Options." Possibly the best part is watching your enemies impale their own idiotic selves on spiky traps.

White Ninja Comics are not for the weak of mind. They are a brilliant satirical commentary on controversial worldly issues.

The world needs more pirates, bei meinem Haken! The world's pirate population is declining. As one could surmise from my previous post, this could be devestating for the environment (but possibly good for the ninja population). Either way, it's not too late to volunteer! (even if you're German)

All right, so maybe everyone's seen this -- I have no sense of just how much of a meme it's become -- but a Mefi search didn't turn up any previous links, so hey. This, ladies and gentlemen, is The Official Ninja Homepage, with the divine URL of "realultimatepower.net." And, err, yes, I do think there's irony involved.
Hi, this site is all about ninjas, REAL NINJAS. This site is awesome. My name is Robert and I can't stop thinking about ninjas. These guys are cool; and by cool, I mean totally sweet. The "Big Pimpin" MIDI gives it a nice touch, I think. (I also recommend the Scripts. They're like Hemingway.)
Personally speaking, I'm officially done with the internet now. Nobody's ever going to make a better website.

Inspired by the last paragraph of this article and a past thread regarding the deployment of Gurkha troops in Afghanistan, I began to consider the merits of sending ninjas to invade Afghanistan. Preparing to add my services to the "war," I've been studying attack techniques and even got myself a hood. Extremely stealthy, successful at kidnapping the president in the past, and material for some of the craziest action movies EVER, ninjas would be extremely adept at unleashing the tiger in whatever mountains Usama's hiding in now. Besides, it wouldn't be the first time ninjas have fought in Afghanistan. When one further factors in their proficiency at delivering burgers and how much they have contributed to our legal system, it's no wonder they're universally regarded as totally awesome. I would, however, keep such national treasures as ninja cheerleaders and kittens home.

The Little Ninja. A beautiful Flash series, one of the best I have stumbled across in my travels around the web. The music, artwork and production are all top notch, and Ninjai's voice is just spellbinding. Anyone know of any other high-quality flash comics like this one?
