Paintballing with Hezbollah.

"We figured they’d cheat; they were Hezbollah, after all. But none of us—a team of four Western journalists—thought we’d be dodging military-grade flash bangs when we initiated this 'friendly' paintball match." Paintballing With Hezbollah.

You have 20 seconds to comply

Putting up a sentry! Commercially available paintball sentry guns. Optional extras include a VR heads up display. If $1399 is too much you could build your own. Watch out for spies! Previously (and slightly more lethally)

The Most Dangerous Game

Tired of hunting animals? This video is made entirely worth watching simply because of the ridiculous sound made three-quarters of the way through.

Unusual paintball equipment

Special Ops Paintball's Razorback Mechanized Tank, made from an Israeli reconnaissance vehicle, can fire 30 .68-caliber paintballs per second, launches Nerf rockets, and has space for a driver and three gunners, all for just $42,000. Julius Tank looks more like a truck than a tank. I've never met these two tank crews, but after taking on similar vehicles, I know how humbling it is to watch 30 of your teammates get eliminated in mere seconds after one of these bad boys arrives. Luckily, they can be defeated by any medium-sized Nerf weaponry.

William Shatner's SpplatAttack was one of the biggest paintball events in 2002. There were a couple of other mefi threads on it earlier last year [here and here]. In December Shatner released a DVD of the event. Maurice Gibb, who died just the other day, owned a paintball shop and other celebs like Tommy Lee are rumored to be huge paintball fans. Is this the next extreme sport? How many mefi'ers play?

SPPLAT Attack!--the largest ever paintball game.

SPPLAT Attack!--the largest ever paintball game. Tomorrow hundreds of Federation paintballers will take the field for eight hours of glory against Klingon hordes and Borg legions outside of Chicago (details) led by the inimitable Cap'n James T. Kirk himself! (Onion interview :) "If the weather holds, I will set sail with this 70-pound lawn mower engine on my back, run like hell, float the parasail, gain flying speed and fly into the venue," wow :)

BotFighters: BotFighters is a brand new type of action game. The mission of the game is to track down and battle with other players, but in BotFighters, the real world is the game arena. You have to move yourself physically close enough to be able to hit. The game concept is similar to "Gotcha!", or virtual paintball. Your mobile phone is used as a weapon and a radar device to track down opponents. When playing, you can at all times be attacked by other players, so be careful! You play with your mobile phone by sending SMS commands to number 6688. (from play)
