For the second year in a row, DJ Earworm has created a mashup video, "Party on the Floor" of all fifteen artists who performed at Capital FM’s 2011 Summertime Ball at London's Wembley Stadium on June 12th. The video premiered during the concert. His official website has more videos and free, downloadable MP3's. Last year's remix: Like, OMG Baby. (His year-end pop-mashups: previously on Metafilter.) OverClocked ReMix This great site has all sorts of music, redone with vastly superior technology and, at times, an eye towards radical reinterpretation. My old fave Metroid has provided quite a few cool reinterpretations.

Latter Day Taints - DJ Riko - with bonus points for using tracks like Arnold Schwarzenegger - Gator Lodge & dialogue from Miami vice - this guy takes the bastard pop mixups another step forward. He also makes his own remixes to go alongside the DJ mixes (the Bangles with the Rolling Stones with Fleix da Housecat anyone?) And guess what? Just in time for the holiday season....two Christmas mash-ups to enjoy. These links are direct to MP3's

Boom Selection is a music blog, focused on bootlegs. Not old Grateful Dead concerts, but DIY remixes and combinations, with tracks that pit Eminem against Britney, or Grandmaster Flash against Boards of Canada. Crazy stuff. bsx is a helpful filter that whittles it all down to must-listen boots and mixes.

Devil's Pretzel (in my mouth)
to the tune of Beck's 'Devil's Haircut'
Something's wrong 'cause my windpipe's closing
chest feels like it's near exploding
earphoned bully boys walking other places
Spot & Barney staring, Nipperesque faces
...a song by Jim Higgins on G.W."s almost self-assassination.

Santa Claus updates his Christmas policy and also prepares to release an explicit remix album. Can ol' Saint Nick possibly knock all of the boy bands off the charts?
