The greatest car commercial ever !!
Old Spock (Nimoy) and New Spock (Quinto) come together (and battle it out) in what is likely the best car commercial that you ever saw (or will see). Chock full of Star Trek references there's even a scene with Nimoy humming along to "The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins" . Awesomeness follows ...
Interview with Kirk Thatcher
, in which he talks about the time he played "Punk On Bus
" in Star Trek IV
. The song "I Hate You
" wasn't included on the original soundtrack and was unavailable for purchase until the soundtrack was re-released in 2012
Episode 2: Eggs.
Domestic Star Trek fan video from a seven-year-old.
In November 1966, Isaac Asimov wrote an article for TV Guide lamenting the shaky science of Star Trek.
, arguing that simply knowing about science, and writing sci-fi novels, was not sufficient qualification to criticize television
sci-fi. [more inside]
Leonard Nimoy made his final appearance at a Star Trek convention in Chicago this past weekend.
Speaking for nearly an hour, Nimoy reminisced about his career and his involvement in the convention scene for many years. He thanked the fans for helping keep Star Trek alive during the "dark years" after its 1969 cancellation until its return a decade later with the first motion picture. Nimoy continues to work, and may or may not reprise his role in the next Star Trek movie, so it's not quite farewell to that green-blooded pointy-eared Vulcan half-breed, but now maybe he'll have more time to eat all that salsa
, or maybe just not do anything at all

So... Kirk/Spock slash fiction
may be nothing new
, but did you ever think about the fan art
? (not really safe for work - or eyeballs)
Mr. Spock's Nudes
David Bowman talks to 72-year-old Leonard Nimoy
about Leonard Cohen's music, the famous Vulcan hand sign, and his movie career, but especially about his new book
of female nude photographs, and how they relate to the Kabbalistic idea of Shekhinah. Nimoy comes across as more than a little flaky (but that's nothing new
); turns out he can also be thoughtful, perceptive, and dryly funny.
Mr. Spock during the Pon Farr
? Actually a very funny CGI character test (direct 4.8MB Quicktime movie link here
