Fear Itself: an american journalist wants to put the threat of terrorism into perspective, and elects to ride on a bus line in Jerusalem, the train line through Madrid, and a British Airways flight said to be a bombing target. He comes away with it unscathed but the stories he tells about the history of terror, especially in Israel, is chilling and daily life in some parts of Jerusalem sounds like scenes lifted straight out of Brazil. An elderly enemy combatant of the state has been denied entry into the United States for our safety and the republic is strong thanks to the decision. Who was it you ask? 77 year old Ibrahim Ferrer and five bandmates nominated for Grammies won't be allowed in the US today. Avowed communist Ferrer (lead member of the terrorist group "Buena Vista Social Club") said "I am not a terrorist. I couldn't be one. I am a musician." but don't believe him, he's a communist after all and a damn good one at that. Red Dawn!
The Terrorism commercial from Redmond. "I help make the internet vulnerable to terrorists." (quicktime parody)
Remember the 15 year old that crashed a cessna into a Florida building? His suicide note is up at the smoking gun, and apparently "Al Qaeda and other organizations have met with me several times to discuss the option of me joining" and he thought "Osama bin Laden is absolutely justified" in a screed that blasts US involvement with Israel. Kids today.
Bin Laden Denies attack was his. "I stress that I have not carried out this act, which appears to have been carried out by individuals with their own motivation." Maybe it was the guy on the grassy knoll again?
