Ridiculous musicianship.

"So at first, I thought it was a joke. NOPE... The singer sounds like freggin Stevie first of all, the bassist just SLAYS it, and the drummer is solid as a rock". So says a bass players' forum commenter about Sweden's DirtyLoops who's ferociously tight Baby has been spreading fast online in the last 24 hours. wonderful mwebi

It's rare to find a blog where you want to grab every picture, and click every link, but that's how it is at wonderful little mwebi, and just a few clicks there leads to these other just as tantalizing micro blogs, such as The Year in Pictures, Kitschy Living, Poculum, Cool Pictures, Colorfullthings, Design Squish and Fade Away (which has a bit of a squishy design). It leaves one wondering out loud, when did blogging get cool again?

Northern Exposure

Alone In The Wilderness "Documentary tells the story of Dick Proenneke who, in the late 1960s, built his own cabin in the wilderness at the base of the Aleutian Peninsula, in what is now Lake Clark National Park. Using color footage he shot himself, Proenneke traces how he came to this remote area, selected a homestead site and built his log cabin completely by himself. The documentary covers his first year in-country, showing his day-to-day activities and the passing of the seasons as he sought to scratch out a living alone in the wilderness." (Color, 57mins)

HOWTO Screw Some Evangelist Maggots Right In The Wallet

Warren Ellis quoting someone else's blog: "What with the Washington State Supreme Court handing down its anti-gay-marriage decision several weeks ago and the ever-hearing more about attacks on reproductive rights down south, I’m feeling that the States is tripping a bit too merrily down the Handmaid’s path. This week, I found a way to strike back".
