Global Voices Online. I was a bit surprised to find that this hasn't been posted. Global Voices aims to foster a more diverse online conversation primarily through spot-lighting blogs written by people all over the world. It started last October and has really picked up steam these last few months.

The World Islands
A man-made island project from the folks that brought you the Palm Islands (mentioned in the blue here).
Think 250 to 300 small private artificial islands ranging in size from 250,000 to 900,000 square feet with the key cool factor of the islands being arranged into the shape of the world's continents. It is located four kilometres off the shore of Jumeirah, Dubai in the United Arab Emirates (Also the subject of an FPP).

Ocean Floating Residence. "For The World is no ordinary cruise ship. Instead of carrying thousands of passengers for a week or two at a time, it will be home to around 200 residents who have paid between $2m and $7m apiece for one of its 110 apartments."
