Essential (but weighty) reading for those interested in the economics of the issue, a useful localisation of <a href="http://www.hm-treasury.gov.uk/independent_reviews/stern_review_economics_climate_change/sternreview_index.cfm">Stern </a>(2006). <a href="http://rspas.anu.edu.au/people/personal/garnr_econ/cvcomplete.pdf">Ross Garnaut</a> is a distinguished economist from the orthodox school. He argues cogently for Australia and the developed world to play their part in reducing emissions, and notes that 450 ppm CO2-e is difficult but achievable.
