PMOG stands for Passively Multiplayer Online Game. Players play without playing; clicking around the internet turns into experience points and currency. Players can bomb each other, wage war over web sites, and lead other users on web missions. Ordinary web sites become caches for items and currency. PMOG fuses an MMO into our WWW.

Web of Distraction. Does the web cause you to lose time, having a hard time stopping browsing, and starting working? I know for me, the sheer inertia of browsing, it's hard to start working.

Etour.com claims it's like "channel surfing" on the web, but it isn't. Surfing is something in-between purposefully seeking a goal and letting the wind blow you wherever it wishes. It's not totally random. It's not totally goal-driven. So it must involve a human who is making half-choices, taking half-risks. It can't be programmed. [moreā¦]
