He's the best at what he does

Hugh Jackman unsheathes his claws one last time to bid farewell to Wolverine AKA Logan AKA James Howett, a role he has played for 17 years. The first trailer for Logan, which borrows some concepts from the grimdark Old Man Logan comics by longtime MetaFilter-favorite Mark Millar, is out. The film is directed by James Mangold, who directed the second standalone film starring everyone's favorite hairy Canuck as well as a little biopic that bears some connection to the trailer's music and title card look. Meltdown at Fox over Wolverine review

Internal drama at Fox: longtime Hollywood columnist Roger Friedman fired - or not? - for posting a review on FoxNews.com of 20th Century Fox's "X-Men Origins: Wolverine," which leaked onto the internets April 1. He apparently liked it. But Fox is freaking out about the leak, more than a month before the theatre premiere, and the FBI has conducted raids. Speculation about what happened here.

X-Men 1.5

So how do you make an X-Men DVD without mentioning the comics? Fascinatingly candid interview with the producers of the new X-Men 1.5 DVD describing the bizarre issues involved with putting together special features on this and other DVDs, including the afformentioned anomally, a side effect of the current legal situation between FOX and Marvel Comics.

Cyberpal, i couldn't disagree more. ESB is actually the best of the 4 SW movies because the characters aren't encumbered with destroying the Death Star or flying back and forth to Naboo by way of Tatooine and Coruscant. A New Hope and Return end all happy with medals and Ewoks. i like the tougher ending of ESB, especially as i get older. it was a little depressing when i was a kid, but, hey, i'm not one anymore.

Like the X-Men movie? If so, it looks like you can buy a whole lot of the props and stuff from it. Kind of an interesting thing for the studio to be doing directly.

Potential Spoiler Warning:

Potential Spoiler Warning: If you're the sort who believes discussing a film before seeing it spoils it, please do not participate in this thread. Seen it yet? What'd ya think? Haven't seen it? Why or why not? I almost wasn't. till I heard Singer spoke with Stan Lee about what inspired X-Men and what makes it really tick. I'll see it tomorrow. Willing to give the benefit of the doubt.

The X-Men Full Trailer

The X-Men Full Trailer clears up a lot of the "Omigod! Something's really wrong here" comments about the film, but there's still no Colossus and no Gambit. What gives? Perhaps they're saving all that for the second or third films (if any)?
