The Remnants. It seemed so promising at first. From the writer of GO and Big Fish, comes a pilot for a post-apocalyptic comedy unlike anything you've ever seen, starring, among others, the much celebrated Zefrank, Justin Bateman, and Ernie Hudson. But after six months of shopping it around the major networks, it seems the The Remnants might just die on the vine. But wait! what's this flurry of press coverage? Go put in your two cents (or hopefully a lot more) here!

Ze Frank received many wonderful, heartfelt and poignant responses to from 52 to 48 with love in the form of pictures, comments and emails. However, as it became more widely circulated, it also provoked intense anger and outrage. So, he created angrigami as an attempt to devour the entire carcass, bones, bile and all.

Bye, Ze. Zefrank, the very fine video blogger, who in a single year created a massive and devoted web community by asking his audience to dress their vacuums, whip ass with Ray, and make an Earth sandwich, has decided to call it quits and head off to Hollywood. Perhaps the resources will bring him a bigger audience. But I'll miss the hearts and flowers, even the occasional lecture. To think it all started with dancing lessons. [Previously]

You've read about him, seen the show, browsed the forum, consulted the wiki, heard the remixes, seen video1, video2 and even it's storyboard. Now please meet: Ray (29mb mov).

Luke Vaughn has no car, but he wanted to travel from his home in Eugene, OR to the East Coast for the holidays. So he asked his fellow fans of the show with zefrank for a little help. He's becoming the Human Baton, and with the help of dozens of internet strangers, he's started his trip cross-country. They're each putting a pin on his jacket, posting photos, and blogging it. Oh, and they're planning meetups with him all through his route.

One man's song for his daughter [m3u] hits the interweb and, in the hands of zefrank's rabid fanbase, is remixed over 100 times in a little over a week. This [mp3] short and sweet techno mix quickly evolved into a 5-minute extended version, [m3u] (allegedly scoring radio play in SC) that's now being used as the basis of a collaborative video for Ray [mov] that ze wants to give as a thank you. But only after a manhunt of metafilter-detective proportions tracks Ray down. (ZePreviously.)

The Show with Ze Frank. Like the Daily Show, but shorter, quicker, and more spastic. The Show has been going for about a month now, but Ze appears to be hitting his stride now.

Interview with Ze Frank - "online performance artist and humorist". A link to the first of his projects, a wildly successful party invite, "How to dance properly" was posted on metafilter in March 2001. "I sent the link to 17 friends ... By Monday it was getting over a million people a day, and I was getting over seven e-mails a minute." See the various stats pages for a funny summary of the contents of some of those e-mails.
