About
What's the deal with your nickname? How did you get it? If your nickname is self-explanatory, then tell everyone when you first started using the internet, and what was the first thing that made you say "wow, this isn't just a place for freaks after all?" Was it a website? Was it an email from a long-lost friend? Go on, spill it.
My username is a combination of my first name and the song “La Cucaracha.” I thought it was self-explanatory, but maybe the song's not as well-known as I thought.
I believe I originated the “I, for one, welcome our whatever overlords” MetaFilter cliche with this comment.
I scored an AskMetaFilter trifecta in March 2008 by using Lynyrd Skynyrd's “Whiskey Rock-a-Rolla” as an answer for people looking for Memphis & Mississippi songs, songs about drinking whisky, and songs about occupations.
