What's the deal with your nickname? How did you get it? If your nickname is self-explanatory, then tell everyone when you first started using the internet, and what was the first thing that made you say "wow, this isn't just a place for freaks after all?" Was it a website? Was it an email from a long-lost friend? Go on, spill it.

I'm MaiaMadness because I'm mad. You may call me Lady Madness, or just Maia, or, you know, whatever you want, really. I write in English, not American. I don't do this because I think there's anything wrong with America, but because I like the "u" in "colour", the "s" in "realise", the "e" in "programme" and the "re" in "centre". I sing, and I write, and I blog. Feel free to visit my website if you like, where I do all those things. Other than that, I may occasionally come off a bit strong; I profusely apologise in advance. I never mean to offend. I think sometimes people think I'm being sarcastic when I'm just being honest, and don't understand when I'm really just kidding, and I don't know if it's just a cultural barrier or a language thing, cause English IS my third language, though this has never been a problem in real life. I DO get the feeling that people are friendlier here than many other places, so perhaps I won't be misunderstood so much accidentally on purpose as I have been in net-discussions elsewhere. Okay. So... Yeah. Rant over, I believe. The steam just went out of me, there. I think I'm gonna like it here.

Also, apparently I'm a Euro-fascist-communist-croissant!

Edit upon reflection: I had no idea that the Internet wasn't just for freaks. I AM a freak. Now I feel sad.
