Inspired by this thread as well as numerous medical and legal questions on AskMe I was wondering if there couldn't be some way of encouraging our lawyers/doctors/etc. to participate in discussions in their field. I know there's a hesitancy to provide specific details due to liability issues but some threads get bogged down in arguments over misunderstandings. Any thoughts on how this could be done or whether it's even a good idea?

I noticed an AskMe thread with two "Best Answers". Is the ability to mark more than one answer as "best" intentional, or is this a bug? I'm sure there are going to be cases of ties, so perhaps this isn't a bad idea.

Given the fairly high usage and value of many of the threads, isn't it time for Ask Metafilter to be promoted to be listed on the Blue? The link in the sideblog to this amazing thread is a clear sign that it's ready for primetime. How about it Matt?

I've got a Mac with OS X 10.2.8 that used to run OS 9. I have this one job I do for a friend that required me to use Print2Pict with this one app in order to generate a PICT file that I could then cut pieces out of. Just this week, the app (Finale Notepad) was updated to run on OS X. I still need the ability to generate an editable PICT file, but Print2Pict is not available. Is there anything equivalent to Print2Pict for OS X?
