What's the deal with your nickname? How did you get it? If your nickname is self-explanatory, then tell everyone when you first started using the internet, and what was the first thing that made you say "wow, this isn't just a place for freaks after all?" Was it a website? Was it an email from a long-lost friend? Go on, spill it.

I like to imagine myself as one of the longest serving members of this fine internet community; occupying a position somewhat akin to a kindly old uncle, dozing fitfully in a rocking chair on the porch.

But let's face it, my contributions over the last eight or so years have generally been confined to pissy little epithets in MeTa and favourite-whoring on the blue.

I do have a rocking chair though.
