What's the deal with your nickname? I have a very wolf-like Siberian husky, that's all. I don't have anything to do with wolf/dog hybrids.
Although I picked the handle on a lark a long time ago, it's come to feel like a very good fit, and now I'm quite happy if friends call me wolfdog, or wolfie, or whatever. If you like, it seems to capture two principal parts of my personality very well: both the perpetual outsider who snarls at domesticity, and also the would-be clever performer that enjoys learning tricks, and showing off, that welcomes a warm fire and a little praise.
Since you ask — no, despite the furry-sounding name, I'm not. On the other hand, I consider my emotional bonds to animals a defining characteristic; if you want a name for it, ζωοφιλος is the one that fits.
