What's the deal with your nickname? How did you get it? If your nickname is self-explanatory, then tell everyone when you first started using the internet, and what was the first thing that made you say "wow, this isn't just a place for freaks after all?" Was it a website? Was it an email from a long-lost friend? Go on, spill it.

I was born in Israel, and left when I was 20 to hitchhike in Europe. After 3 years of that, I settled down in Denmark, and became a Danish citizen. In 1984, I travelled to the USA and ended up living here ever since.

Metafilter had been my first reading spot on the web for 15 years. I don't participate much in community activities, but I like to contribute interesting links to the conversation.

I started the first ever real estate blog in 2003, which quickly became the linkblog growabrain, a semi-popular destination about 10 years ago. I loved blogging.

Then 6 years ago, when I was 56 years old, I had my first child.

When Adora was born, I started posting her photos online. That eventually developed into a unique Art Project whereby 1,000's of artists & musicians worldwide create original artworks using her pictures & words. The project grew tentacles and now includes more than 25 sub-sites. Beside being a full time single dad, I keep updating Adora's websites on a daily basis.

I am very surprised that nobody but me finds value in it, and I want to figure out how to convert it into a vehicle that will interest others. If you have any suggestions of how to improve it, please write me.

It somehow so happened that at 62 I have zero friends, which is kind of sad. Often weeks go by without me speaking with anyone except my daughter.
