About
What's the deal with your nickname? How did you get it? If your nickname is self-explanatory, then tell everyone when you first started using the internet, and what was the first thing that made you say "wow, this isn't just a place for freaks after all?" Was it a website? Was it an email from a long-lost friend? Go on, spill it.
My nickname... Well, it's my name. There's not too much I could say about it, since I didn't specifically choose it.
As far as the rest of the interrogation...
I'm not old-school, but I do (slightly) pre-date the web in my net usage. I used to do the BBS thing, and I still remember 2400 baud as a fast connection. As can be gleaned from this, I'm a geek from the top of my head to the tip of my toes. This also follows pretty easily from my choice of weblog titles, as well as my e-mail address. Programmers will get that, and probably get the shivers, too.
I've been reading MeFi for close to four years, but I have always missed (or been broke during) signups. As a consequence, I haven't been able to join, and have missed some nifty, nifty debates. I have to admit, I'm a discussion>links person at heart, I usually get more enjoyment from the debate that follows a controversial link than from the link itself. MeTa is my new best friend :)
