About

What's the deal with your nickname? How did you get it? If your nickname is self-explanatory, then tell everyone when you first started using the internet, and what was the first thing that made you say "wow, this isn't just a place for freaks after all?" Was it a website? Was it an email from a long-lost friend? Go on, spill it.

Ranked in the Top Twenty "Most MeFi Threads" - this can't be good.

Authoring a blog called Cool Reading of noteworthy books and articles... created two Robert Louis Stevenson annotated works: The Annotated Strange Case Of Dr Jekyll And Mr Hyde and The Annotated 'Travels with a Donkey in the Cévennes'.... a travel blog about a 6-week solo car trip along the back-roads of America... some new articles on Wikipedia.

old stuff
First computer was a Vic-20 in the early 80s and grew up in the 80's with the 8088s and the BBS scene (WWIV and Searchlight). Received a Bachelors in History degree from St.Marys College of Maryland in 1992. Created numerous shareware (TimeCard) and commercial (3D Laser Photocopier) applications in 'C' for DOS. Sold Linux on 50 floppy disks out of my basement in 1993 during the last recession, unwittingly making me the first person to commercially sell Slackware.
