I used to have these recurring dreams about time travel. In each of these dreams, I built a time machine and used it, finding that the act of using the time machine destroys the universe. Therefore, while in the past, I must convince myself not to build a time machine. This attempting to convince myself happens a number of different ways, and is the only part of these dreams that differs. Once, I had to simply go back and tell myself not to when I was a child. On another occasion, I had to go back further and seek training from Simon and Garfunkel, being their pupil for some thirty years.
Anyway, the point is that I was traveling back in time to stop myself from traveling back in time.
