About
What's the deal with your nickname? How did you get it? If your nickname is self-explanatory, then tell everyone when you first started using the internet, and what was the first thing that made you say "wow, this isn't just a place for freaks after all?" Was it a website? Was it an email from a long-lost friend? Go on, spill it.
the MeFite formerly known as Wendell
OneSwellFoop was the name of my first blog, even though I authored it as Wendell. I lost the .com domain but still have the .net that I may someday do something with.
Wendell was a pen-name/stage-name I had used on some of my creative endeavors since college, based on a family in-joke that got out years earlier. I decided in 2009 that, if I'm going to be an underachiever, having dual identities will just make it seem even worse.
Besides, I knew it would not wendell.
I guess you could call me a SJW. Not Social Justice Warrior, more like Social Justice Wizard, although I transferredout of Hogwarts in my fourth year, because they didn't have a student newspaper or radio station.
(picture made by webcomicker Brad Guigar when he was giving participants in his Evil Inc. Comic Forum free avatars. I was one of the few not given masks, horns or other facial features not my own so I was able to digitally separate my chubby head from my chubby superhero body )
