What's the deal with your nickname? How did you get it? If your nickname is self-explanatory, then tell everyone when you first started using the internet, and what was the first thing that made you say "wow, this isn't just a place for freaks after all?" Was it a website? Was it an email from a long-lost friend? Go on, spill it.
Hey guys. Yeah, I'm taking a little break from Mefi. I still lurk here and there, and I didn't hit the dreaded button to disable myself. I'm just walking away for a bit to focus on real life stuff.
Thanks for all of your kind wishes and condolences about my dad. They're sincerely appreciated. And btw, as of this writing my mom's doing a lot better.

Okay, so I type fast. Yes, like REALLY fast. So as my fingers fly, my writing ends up being a stream of consciousness that I'm too lazy to edit half the time. That is sometimes a good thing, and sometimes a very bad thing. But hopefully it might explain my posting style to you, for better & worse.
There are good & bad things on the internet. I think this is a good thing, that's why I'm here. I always learn about new things here. Plus I love having interesting dialogue with smart, headstrong people. There's an old quote (attributed to various people) that goes "I've never learned anything in my life from a man who agreed with me." I love that people here don't always see eye to eye, but there's discussion.
That said, if you're being obnoxious and/or trying to pick a ridiculous fight with people over stuff? I'm not going to pay much attention to much of anything you have to say. Sorry. I recommend valium, my friend.
