There is some multi-dimensionality to this pseudonym. My father introduced me as a child to the participle "yclept", which means "named", based on a Middle English verb. So when I chose a name to call myself, this naturally came to mind.
"yclept" is a rarity in that it is one of the only words which use the letter "y" as a vowel somewhere other than the end of a word, and the only one in which it begins a word.
