I was a jazz piano major in college. Eric + bebop = easy to remember email address! Of course, I've moved on to other interests, and email addresses, but ericbop has always stuck as a fun moniker for forums (fora?) like this.
First internet memory? Sticking my phone's handset into one of them old-timey modems and dialing up the 'ol bbs's! Loved AOL when it was Mac-only, and think NYTimes sucks for no longer being completely free to moochers like me.
