What's the deal with your nickname? How did you get it? If your nickname is self-explanatory, then tell everyone when you first started using the internet, and what was the first thing that made you say "wow, this isn't just a place for freaks after all?" Was it a website? Was it an email from a long-lost friend? Go on, spill it.

So one day, one of my friends decided that we should have a LAN party with a few friends in one of the buildings on campus. Another friend had all of the equipment, so he was named the LAN Messiah (later shortened to Mes). I carried it all, so I was Atlas.

It was Altas for a while, and then I started playing WoW. Of course, Atlas was already taken. So then I decided to make my character named Matlas or something like that. Thanks to me being stupid, it turned out Malthas.

I haven't played WoW in a goodly long time now, but malthas has stuck around in various forms. I guess I just like it as a name now.
