What's the deal with your nickname? How did you get it? If your nickname is self-explanatory, then tell everyone when you first started using the internet, and what was the first thing that made you say "wow, this isn't just a place for freaks after all?" Was it a website? Was it an email from a long-lost friend? Go on, spill it.
The nickname was my domain name, based on a long-dead Mac OS sound. (Then I forgot to renew the domain after seven years and someone else scooped it up.)
I always thought a Wild Eep sounded like a kind of animal and registered wildeep.org as the "Wild Eep Foundation," a fictional non-profit dedicated to the preservation of the endangered Wild Eep.
I've been on the 'net since the Fall of 1993, when it was still a place for all kinds of freaks. Prior to that, I frequented local BBSes. I'm a freak masquerading as a normal person and if it weren't for the internet, I wouldn't have half my closest friends and I wouldn't have met my husband. I also wouldn't work in the industry I work in. The internet is probably the greatest thing to happen to me on a million different levels. Yay internerd!
