What's the deal with your nickname? How did you get it? If your nickname is self-explanatory, then tell everyone when you first started using the internet, and what was the first thing that made you say "wow, this isn't just a place for freaks after all?" Was it a website? Was it an email from a long-lost friend? Go on, spill it.
Finding that "Ira" was already taken, I suffered a severe lack of imagination. Yes, I regret my choice.
I always want to contribute - in particular, comment - much more, but there's never enough time. I don't know how you people do it - do you just read and write much faster than I do? Probably. The long threads are exhausting. But I do love much of this site.

25/4/08 - I'm gonna take a break from Metafilter for a few months I think (emergency need to use Askmetafilter aside) - so many other things I have to do. Maybe when I come back, I'll start a new account under a less stupid username. And hopefully I'll have time to comment more then too.
