What's the deal with your nickname? How did you get it? If your nickname is self-explanatory, then tell everyone when you first started using the internet, and what was the first thing that made you say "wow, this isn't just a place for freaks after all?" Was it a website? Was it an email from a long-lost friend? Go on, spill it.
I've been using the internet, in one form or another, since about 1989, but I've never really embraced the exposure it can bring. I miss the early days, when using my real name simply felt normal and like part of a community -- anyone who might see it was, I thought, probably ok. Now, with spam and worse, I can't imagine putting my real name on an account like this, and instead each time I need to make a new account I look around the room and find an object to use as a name -- this time I am an eating utensil.
