What's the deal with your nickname? How did you get it? If your nickname is self-explanatory, then tell everyone when you first started using the internet, and what was the first thing that made you say "wow, this isn't just a place for freaks after all?" Was it a website? Was it an email from a long-lost friend? Go on, spill it.
Username has nothing to do with Skype, the software. A sidebar ad must have embedded in my subconscious, because my original aim was to create a portmanteau blending "skeptical" with "hyper" and out came skyper. Wish I could take it back or change it -- I am not in the least bit interested in wireless, telecom' or software development, even am a bit of a Luddite, was the last among my circle to procure a cellphone (and then only when someone bought me one) and still do not have a digicam.
