About

What's the deal with your nickname? How did you get it? If your nickname is self-explanatory, then tell everyone when you first started using the internet, and what was the first thing that made you say "wow, this isn't just a place for freaks after all?" Was it a website? Was it an email from a long-lost friend? Go on, spill it.

The name comes from my summer job: supposedly my last name sounds like something an alien would say, so first I became Alien, then Planet... for obvious reasons I prefer Planet! (althoug all nicknames were for fun)

During the school year I hit books, and I bang on drums (in Brazilian Samba and Opera company orchestras), and I stress and complain and all the good things that come with being an undergrad.

During the summer, I get dressed in a male brittish military wool uniform, circa 1867 and prance around playing the fife, firing large artillery, giving tours to silly tourists who think that a stone fort is still used to defend Canada from the evil invading Americans, and stand perfectly still for long periods of time in the boiling sun staring at a wall. At night I go with the guard (co-workers) and drink and party and tear Kingston to shreads, and then do it all again the next day! It's a pretty sweet deal, and we get payed decently well to do it.

I speak three languages: my English and French are perfect and my German could use some improvement but it's getting there.

I travel whenever I can, to as many countries and cities as I can. I'm a serious opera lover, and lover of all things classical and music oriented. I also love figure skating, although the oportunities to spend money to watch figure skating in Canada are shockingly slim, especially since competitions always coincide with school (grr), and travel within this country is rediculously expensive.
