A double block and bleed valve is an industrial valve assembly that has block valves to isolate two (or more) inlets and a drain or vent valve to empty the contents. They are used in chemical plants and refineries. I used to work with them and I like the way it sounds.
I was a $5 newb after many years of reading. In order to avoid the all-seeing eye of Google, which links my real name to my old user name, I've changed to a new nom deguerre plume.
